-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"> 東天山的末端分出了一道東西走向的小支脈，叫做莫?dú)J烏拉山。古絲綢之路的北大道進(jìn)入新疆后，就是沿著莫?dú)J烏拉山北麓西行的。古時(shí)候沒有公路，絕大部分地方連政府興建的“官道”都沒有，駱駝客們只能朝著一個(gè)大致的方向，繞過難以逾越的高山溝壑，但又要盡可能避開沒有水源并且容易迷路的戈壁大漠，于是便選擇了沿山麓而行。老駝戶說，沿山麓而行一是不容易迷路，二是山巒上隔不遠(yuǎn)總會(huì)有一道山溝，山溝大都是被水沖刷出成的，因而可能會(huì)有水源。山上的冰川和積雪融化后滲入地下，往往又在距山不遠(yuǎn)的草原或戈壁上通過泉眼涌出地面，因此傍山的地方總會(huì)找到泉水。在廣袤的荒原上旅行，水就是生命，因此水源往往決定古道的走向。有經(jīng)驗(yàn)的老駝戶說，如果把荒原上的泉眼連成一條線，那就是從前的大道了。</h3><p style="font-family: -webkit-standard;
